Dear Clubbed,

Did anyone notice the “new” speed limit on the PA turnpike recently?? I have no idea when it was changed or how far it goes, but between Rt 1 (exit 351) and the Norristown, Plymouth Meeting exit (333?) the speed limit is now 70 MPH instead of the former 65.

Just sayin’

For the DVT they have created a group which works in my view much better

Jim,
Thanks. Personally, I use yahoo email to communicate with Club. Was only on the Club FB once, didn't see the advantage of it, although I am on FB often. I will see if I can find the person looking for a Club application and make contact. Take care.

Hi all,

So apparently when I set up the club Facebook page I set it up so that you have to “like” the page instead of joining the group. Without deleting and restarting the page I cannot adjust the settings so that people can “join” the group. I hope that helps explain some of the issues with the Facebook page.

On a side note if you look at my signature I have always “advertised” that we have a Facebook page. The traffic on the site is very low and unfortunately I cannot figure out how to allow people to post on the actual timeline without making every single person a moderator of the page. All of the posts/comments go to the left hand side as Visitor posts. That being said I would be happy to have a couple of people who would be willing to become moderators so that we can possibly have more posts/activity on the timeline.

I do ask that if anyone has any further questions or anything about the Facebook page that they direct them to me personally via my email (kliebel@...).

Thank you for your understanding,

Kristi

My comment is if there is little traffic on the club FB page then it must not be club friendly.  I know there are some Libertarians in the club that don't like FB and that certainly is there choice. But those that do like it should have a site that is more club friendly to use.

Hi Kristi , Thanks for all you do for the club. I don't know much about the admin part of Facebook, but I noticed that I could not make it a group that I post to. So I had to search every time I wanted to make a post. I understand that this is a volunteer club and everyone who does volunteer does a great job but there has to be some simple remedy in order to get more activity on the Facebook page.
Mary Goodman started a FB page out of nowhere and now has 227 members who contribute to it. It's called British car and motorcycle enthusiasts. A Global organization. It's a closed group that you have to request membership. So most people who contribute love and want to see all the posts. Check it out.

But you can't select it as a friend and it's not a group. I had to save the link instead

For the DVT they have created a group which works in my view much better

The DVT Group page on FB is very easy to use and is posted to multiple times every day

My comment is if there is little traffic on the club FB page then it must not be club friendly.  I know there are some Libertarians in the club that don't like FB and that certainly is there choice. But those that do like it should have a site that is more club friendly to use.

Kristi

I'm not sure who I am sending this to because I usually never use my phone to answer e mail. But even though our GT is not really finished, Lori and I are going to NJ.
