Jim, Thanks. Personally, I use yahoo email to communicate with Club. Was only on the Club FB once, didn't see the advantage of it, although I am on FB often. I will see if I can find the person looking for a Club application and make contact. Take care. Steve

Hi all,
So apparently when I set up the club Facebook page I set it up so that you have to “like” the page instead of joining the group. Without deleting and restarting the page I cannot adjust the settings so that people can “join” the group. I hope that helps explain some of the issues with the Facebook page.
On a side note if you look at my signature I have always “advertised” that we have a Facebook page. The traffic on the site is very low and unfortunately I cannot figure out how to allow people to post on the actual timeline without making every single person a moderator of the page. All of the posts/comments go to the left hand side as Visitor posts. That being said I would be happy to have a couple of people who would be willing to become moderators so that we can possibly have more posts/activity on the timeline.
I do ask that if anyone has any further questions or anything about the Facebook page that they direct them to me personally via my email (kliebel@...).
Thank you for your understanding,
Kristi

My comment is if there is little traffic on the club FB page then it must not be club friendly. I know there are some Libertarians in the club that don't like FB and that certainly is there choice. But those that do like it should have a site that is more club friendly to use. Jim

Hi Kristi , Thanks for all you do for the club. I don't know much about the admin part of Facebook, but I noticed that I could not make it a group that I post to. So I had to search every time I wanted to make a post. I understand that this is a volunteer club and everyone who does volunteer does a great job but there has to be some simple remedy in order to get more activity on the Facebook page. Mary Goodman started a FB page out of nowhere and now has 227 members who contribute to it. It's called British car and motorcycle enthusiasts. A Global organization. It's a closed group that you have to request membership. So most people who contribute love and want to see all the posts. Check it out.
