In celebration of the "eights" we held a Summer Party 14 years ago at Kirk Park on Lake Michigan, the site of our first Summer Party in 1977. We left the Hilton Parking Lot at 08:08:08 on 08 Aug 2008. It was my late wife Caroline's last summer party.

Nearly 100 MGs participated.

I like Weldwood Contact Cement (solvent based, not water based).

Bring them Monday and I’ll have a look at them. Can’t tell without seeing them. 


One last thing.

Yeah, I’m thinking of going up on Sunday. I won’t be entering a car, though, because they don’t allow day-of-show entrants at Das Auch Fest.

My carpet for the Mini arrived this week.

What is your favorite material to glue the vertical pieces of carpet to the body? I would prefer a brush on product rather than a spray on product.

Oh ... I also need to “afix” the carpet clip studs to the floor. Any thought on the material to use here? My first attempt failed.

Hi, folks -

Karen Schulte asked that I distribute the flyer for my robotics team's upcoming car show, so I've added a link to it at the bottom of this message.

The show will be held on Saturday, September 17 from 9:00 am-3:00 pm, at Archbishop Wood High School, at the corner of York and Street roads in Warminster, PA.

Those of you who've attended in the past know about the superb LIVE music show we offer, as well as the craft tables, robotics demonstrations and great food. This year we're adding a tour of the robotics team's laboratory, led by the students themselves. And of course there will be over a hundred AMAZING cars... last year we even had the Batmobile!

Every penny of your entry fee will directly benefit the students of Archbishop Wood's robotics team, the Fighting RoboVikings. As members of the team, students directly learn and practice valuable skills in engineering, leadership, project management, CNC, CAD, mechanical design & fabrication, prototyping, computer programming, strategic planning, electrical wiring and so much more. They enter their college years, and indeed their careers, with truly marketable skills that would be difficult to acquire any other way.

Since its inception members of this club have been kind enough to attend and support our show, and in 2021 we had a truly superb turnout of Little British Cars, most of which were from the Philadelphia MG and Delaware Valley Triumph Clubs. I thank all of you for your support in the past years, and I look forward to seeing many of you again this year.

Please come out and support these wonderful kids, and enjoy a unique and fun show.
