It’s gonna be a big MG weekend for me, and I hope many of you as well.
First up is the MG breakfast on Saturday morning, which normally begins with chatting in the parking lot at 8:30 AM and breakfast starting at 9:00. This week, however, I probably will go inside straight away at 8:30 am so that I can be done in plenty of time to make it to our next event. It’s going to be great weather, so come on out for some great food and fun conversation.
Next up is the May MG Road Ramble, which meets at 10:45 am, behind the WaWa in Prospectville. Lots of you pre-registered for this event, so that’s wonderful! So many, in fact, that we’ve hit the limit of the restaurant’s ability to feed us, so regrettably no further entries can be accepted (unless you want to do the ride but skip the lunch).
Looking forward to seeing many of you this weekend!

I hope you are all doing well and have had an opportunity to take your car out for a spin on the nice days that we have had lately.
I am attaching a link for a google form for all to fill out. Roger Williams has been in contact with John Twist about coming to our area for an in person tech session. The board would like to gage the interest in such an event and is requesting that you fill out the form by Saturday May 20th. Please access the form using the link below.

I just sent an update email to everyone who is REGISTERED for the Ramble in May 27th. it contains important updates, so please check it out.
If you didn't get the email, and you were planning to go, you must not have filled out the RSVP registration and I therefore don't have a record of your attendance (or a reservation at the pub for you!) If this is the case, you need to contact me immediately at kmclemore@....
Cheers,
Kevin
I’ve recently noticed that some folks have been using the old (May 6) form to register for this event. We are now up to 13 cars and 23 folks.
Because of the restaurant’s capacity, I think at this point we need to cut off any further registrations.
Next week I will be sending out an email to all who registered, with final instructions and such.
cheers,
Kevin McLemore
Ok, folks, we’re down to the wire. Next Saturday, May 27, looks like it’s gonna be great weather … 77 degrees and mostly sunny… so our ramble should be in some. beautiful top-down weather.
We have a good number of folks registered (10 cars, 18 folks) so far, but we can accommodate just a few more. If you’ve not completed your RSVP, now’s the time.
Here's the link to the sign-up sheet: https://tinyurl.com/PMGC-May-27-Ramble

I did a chassis up restoration of my MGA using
Matt's shop services for much of the process. Matt has years of experience with all manner of British cars. He is easy to work with and honest and keeps a good crew. He is not inexpensive, or to be more accurate, restoration is very expensive - even when you do much of your own labor.

I use Proper Noise. There are fewer and fewer shops skilled in LBCs (little British Cars). Ragtops and Roadsters may be more geographically desirable depending on where you are.

Most folks will suggest Ed Sweeny at Proper Noise in Mt Penn.

I'm starting to throw parts at it, with no positive results.
Last year, the Carbs were rebuilt, and the car starting was successful by adjusting the choke.
Had a MGB friend adjust the carbs, they were way too lean, and the car started reasonably this year.
After he left, the starting of the car has grown more unreliable.
I replaced the throttle disks, and the car has not started much at all now.
Your guidance is greatly appreciated.
