I attended Classic Cars in Langhorne borough this Saturday.
I was the only MGB there.
Parked next to my friend and his showpiece Vette, I got just as many lookers and questions from the show

Try the higher voltage sports coil. I’ve had the same symptoms in my MGB, and it was the coil.

Sounds like the ignition coil is failing. The key symptom is that it is worse when hot.

Yeah, I'm with Kenn. It sounds a lot like ignition, as we discussed earlier. I'd replace the distributor temporarily with an original points distributor and see how it runs... if it's good then you

Hey Roger,
I had some symptoms similar to yours when I got my current B. It ended up being the electronic ignition. I refreshed it with a petronix and it worked well again.

Jan and I can't make it as we're in upstate NY, but I have called Andy's Diner and set up the breakfast for 8-10 folks at 9:00 am (but I assume folks will start gathering at 8:30 am to chat outside).
