John Twist's University Motors, Ltd. in Grand Rapids, Michigan for over 34 years one of (if not) the premier MG and British car repair and restoration shops in North America will close its doors on July 1, 2009 due to the severe economic hard times in Michigan and the rest of the US.
John is truly the MG "guru" in North America. A co-founder of the North American MGB Register, technical advisor to the American MGB Association and now the B Register, member of countless MG clubs and organization, trained at the original University Motors in the UK and a first class spokesman for all things MG.
Google his website University Motors Limited for a message from John about the closing, etc.
To say his shop will be missed is a true understatement. The famous University Motors Summer Parties were always a highlight of the summer MG season. Just cannot believe this is happening.
