Hello Roger,

I also have the tourist trophy exhaust system on my 77 MGB. I have the stainless steel exhaust system. It has a little throatiness to it, but it’s not overpowering at all.

My '78 is in for inspection (registered as Classic not Antique) and there are leaks in the mufflers (muffler and resonator?).  The engine is stock with the ZS carb.  What do think would be the best exhaust system replacement?  Stock/steel?  Stock/stainless steel?  Larger diameter and/or other mods. to ease flow?

I personally like the quiet with slight throatiness of the stock arrangement so I'm not looking for more growl.
